America N. Lutz Ley wins another award!
Chirs Scott, Professor and Distinguished Scholar, Udall Center and UA Geography Department, recently announced that America was awarded the "Becas-CONACyT al Extranero program. This comes on top of three years of full funding from Fulbirhgt that America is completing.

The National Council for Science and Technology, in order to strengthen capacitiesencourage regional and national scientific, technological and innovation development,to contribute to the progress of the country and increased competitiveness, and in accordance with the Rules of Operation of the Programs of the National Council for Science and Technology (CONACYT), specifically the "Graduate Scholarship Program and other modalities to support quality "
Eligibility
Priority to doctoral studies will be given and related programs areas as defined by the Special Program on Science, Technology and Innovation (PECITI).
Scholarship applications are preferably considered for postgraduate studies in one of the universities with which CONACYT has signed an agreement cofinancing Or for those that institution level (no specific program) appear at the top of the recognized international classifications or official of the country of location of the university.
I. Objective of the grant and modality
Provide support for the formation of Mexican professionals, to increase science, technology and innovation in the country and contribute to its development capacity. The mode this call is training awards to graduate level: Ph.D. expertise or specialty, in face-full-time programs.
