Rodolfo Peon is the October 12 speaker in the UA Science Café Series

Rodolfo Peon, ALRS PhD Candidate talked about his desalination efforts as part of the UA Science Café series, Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Borderlands Brewing Company.

Rodolfo volunteered to be part of a partnership between UA engineers and the consulting firm of Apex  Applied Technologies to build a desalination and water-purification system on a refurbished school bus for delivery to the  off the-grid Star School, a charter elementary school located 25 miles east of Flagstaff near the southwest corner of the water-scarce Navajo Reservation.

This work was featured in the October 8, 2017 issue of the Arizona Daily Star.
