WELCOME to the Graduate Interdisciplinary Program in Arid Lands Resources Sciences (ALRS)

The Graduate Interdisciplinary Program in Arid Lands Resource Sciences (ALRS) offers a program leading to the Doctor of Philosophy degree with a major in ALRS.  This interdisciplinary program provides an academic environment in which to examine the ecological, economic, and social factors which influence the sustainable use of arid and semi-arid lands.

Sandra Bernal graduated from the Arid Lands Resource Sciences PhD program in 2018.  She is a  social science researcher, lecturer and instructional specialist at the University of Arizona. She was also named Hispanic Serving Institutions Fellow at the university.
